Harry G. Brittain is Institute Director, Center for Pharmaceutical Physics, Milford, New Jersey, USA. Dr. Brittain's former positions include Vice President for Pharmaceutical Development at Discovery Laboratories, Inc. and Director of Pharmaceutical Development at Ohmeda, Inc. He has also held faculty positions at Ferrum College and Seton Hall University, and has served as Adjunct Professor at Rutgers University and Lehigh University. He has authored more than 300 research publications and book chapters, and has presented numerous invited lectures and short courses in pharmaceutics. Dr. Brittain is Associate Editor for the Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences and serves on the editorial boards of Pharmaceutical Research and AAPS PharmSciTech. He is also Editor for the book series Profiles of Drug Substances, Excipients, and Related Technology. Dr. Brittain is Fellow of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists and presently serves as Chairman of the United States Pharmacopeia expert committee on Excipient Monograph Content.
