Dorothy L. Davis was born Dorothy Logan in New Brunswick, New Jersey and made her residence in Richmond, Virginia. She graduated from Armstrong High School in 1975. While pursuing her dreams, she took a slew of jobs, with her determination never wavering. She briefly moved to Atlanta, GA to get a feel of the area and enjoyed it, but got homesick. She returned to Virginia and worked as a receptionist for 3 1/2 years for a communications company. Carving a niche for herself kept her spirits soaring. She left her 'secure' job and kept on the path of building a better life for herself. She returned to Atlanta for good and writing struck her like a lightning bolt.Her knack for writing came from writing letters to former boyfriends and sending emails to friends. She was told of her 'way with words' and that she needed to write. The stories were within her anxious to come out. After doing temp work at at a brief assignment, she began to type her story, which turned into a book and took three days to complete. She saw that writing was definitely her passion.With the encouragement and support of family and close friends, she began to carve out stories of love, romance, intrigue, and of course steamy sex; those things avid readers hungered for.
