Larry W. Jones has written over 2,700 song lyrics with island based themes. After many trips to the islands of the Caribbean, the Hawaiian islands, and those of French Polynesia, including Tahiti, Bora Bora, Tahaa, Huahini, Raiatea and others, he was finally inspired, in March of 2002, to write his first song, Under Hanalei Moon”, commemorating an upcoming vacation trip to Hawaii. This song and its Hawaiian language translation was archived in the prestigious huapala.org” website for perpetuation of the Hawaiian culture in song. Larry says he will continue to write island themed songs as long as there are islands and people who love them as he does.
