Alexander Smalls is the creator of southern revival cooking and the owner of Cafe Beulah, which has received rave reviews in the New York Times, Gourmet, and New York magazine. He recently opened a SoHo restaurant, Sweet Ophelia. A classically trained baritone, he is a graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia.
