James A. Mangum was born and raised in South Texas. He has lived and worked throughout the United States for the federal government as a Sky Marshal and Special Agent with the U.S. Treasury Department, a Federal Game Warden, an Investigator with the Office of Federal Investigations, and a Civil Rights Manager.
