AUTHOR

Keith, Scott

SUMMARY

Born in a small, snowbound town in British Columbia in 1974, Scott Keith is the fiercely Canadian (except when it comes to Toronto) author of two other books about the wacky world of professional wrestling: The Buzz on Professional Wrestling (2001) and Tonight ... In This Very Ring (2003). Best known for his extremely opinionated and often controversial rants about this so-called sport, Scott is often loved or hated but rarely ignored by his readership. Scott began writing about wrestling in 1996 for an Internet discussion group and from there, graduated to the well-loved Wrestlemaniacs Web site, working with notable names like Rick Scaia, Mike Samuda, and Christopher Robin Zimmerman. When that site was bought out by CBS Sportsline in 1999, he moved with it, turning his PPV reviews and snarling recaps of WCW and WWF TV programming into cult sensations along the way. After years of maintaining his own side Web sites (the dearly departed Rantsylvania.com and TheSmarks.com), Scott shifted his focus to writing for the biggest remaining independent wrestling Web site: 411wrestling.com. And when their focus shifted to pop culture, Scott shifted with them, beginning extensive DVD reviews for the newly renamed 411mania.com as well. 411mania currently does a brisk business, drawing tens of millions of visitors each month and exposing Scott's unique sense of humor about a unique form of entertainment to new fans every day. For those who ask, Scott's all-time favorite wrestlers are Ric Flair and Chris Benoit, and yes, he did once say that "HHH is God," although he regretted it years afterward, as HHH also seemed to develop the same opinion of himself. It should be noted that Scott doesn't directly blame himself for that development, although others do. Scott lives in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.Keith, Scott is the author of 'Wrestling's One Ring Circus The Death Of The World Wrestling Federation', published 2004 under ISBN 9780806526195 and ISBN 080652619X.
