Dr. Charles E. Brown has worked as an exploration geologist with Chevron USA, and as international fossil energy specialist with the US Department of Energy. He taught geology and environmental courses at Virginia State University from 1978-1980, and was Visiting Commonwealth Professor at George Mason University during 1989 and 1990. From 1980 to 1999, Dr. Brown was a research geologist and hydrologist at the US Geological Survey.
