Matt Wasniewski is historian and publications manager in the Office of History & Preservation, U.S. House of Representatives. Matt earned his Ph.D. in U.S. history from the University of Maryland, College Park, in 2004-writing a dissertation on the newspaper columnist Walter Lippmann and his criticisms of U.S. Cold War policy. Before joining the Office of History & Preservation, he was the associate historian and communications director at the U.S. Capitol Historical Society. He also has worked as a sports writer and editor for a northern Virginia weekly newspaper.
