Women and the American Civil War: An Annotated Bibliography (Bibliographies and Indexes in Women's Studies)

THERESA R. MCDEVITT has been a government publications/reference librarian and subject bibliographer in the humanities for nearly two decades. Her dissertation, "Fighting for the Soul of America: The History of the United States Christian Commission in the Civil War" (Kent State University, 1997), sprang from her interest in the women of the war.
