David Jones, a retired government auditor, is a native of Brisbane who has had a lifelong interest in maritime history, naval affairs, and ship photography. He is a member of the Queensland Maritime Museum Association and the Navy League of Australia Peter Nunan spent his early childhood in wartime Brisbane and has long been interested in Australian-American relations. After completing his studies in education in 1959, he taught high school English, history, and geography in Queensland and New South Wales, Australia, the United Kingdom, and Alberta and Ontario, Canada, before his retirement in 1993.
