Joy Damousi is Professor of History and Head of the School of Historical Studies at the University of Melbourne, Australia. She has Published widely in the field of feminist history, womens history, labour history and Australian cultural and intellectual history. Her recent publications include the prize-winning Freud in the Antipodes: A Cultural History of Psychoanalysis in Australia. Mariano Plotkin is a member of the National Council of Scientific and Technological Research (Consejo Nacional de Investigactiones Cietificas y Tecnicas Argentina) and researcher at the Instituto de Desarrolla Economico y Social. He is also a professor at the Universidad Nacional de Tres de Febrero (BuerosAires). His books include Manana es San Peron (1994, English edition 2003) and Freud in the Pampas (2001; Spanish edition 2003).
