Maryam Qudrat Aseel is an activist and spokesperson in the Afghan-American and Muslim communities. She has given radio and television interviews, produced a series of shows for the Islamic Information Service, currently hosts her own show, Bridge to the Future, on an Afghan radio station, and has been interviewed by the Los Angeles Times. She founded the Afghan Institute for Development, an organization whose goal is to reach out to the people of Afghanistan, and is active in promoting understanding among youths in her community.
