This book collects the epic and narrative poetry of the great 19th century Magyar poet, J'nos Arany. Toldi is a lengthy epic poem based on Magyar folk legends, telling the story of a 14th century legendary hero.Arany (1817 - 1882), the son of an impoverished noble, is considered one of the founders of modern Hungarian poetry. He was an actor, notary, editor, and professor of Hungarian literature at the Nagy-Koros college.
