Colum Hourihane received his PhD from the Courtauld, Institute of Art in 1984 for a study on Gothic Irish Art which was subsequently published as Gothic Art in Ireland, 1169-1550, Enduring Vitality, (Yale University Press, 2004). His most recent publication is The processional Cross in late Medieval England, ‘The Dallye Cross’ (Society of Antiquaries of London, 2005).
