A frequent contributor to the New York Times, author Linda Tagliaferro has also written for many national magazines including Boys' Life. Several of her books have been chosen by the Children's Book Committee at Bank Street College as Best Children's Books of the Year. Her most recent title, Galapagos Islands, was chosen by the National Science Teachers Association/Children's Book Council as an Outstanding Science Trade Book for Children as well as being an Honor Book for the Society of School Librarians International.
