In 1824 his only child, Alexandre Dumas fils (son), who would become a distinguished playwright, was born. In 1844 Dumas published two enormous novels, both of them still read by millions: Le Comte de Monte-Cristo and Les Trois Mousquetaires. He continued the story of the musketeers in Vingt ans apres (Twenty Years After; 1845), and Le Vicomte de Bragelonne (1848-1850), of which the final part is L'Homme au masque de fer (The Man in the Iron Mask). He died December 5, 1870, at his son's house near Dieppe.Dumas, Alexandre is the author of 'The Three Musketeers' with ISBN 9781587261671 and ISBN 1587261677.
