Betty Page Brackenridge, MS, RD, CDE, is a certified diabetes educator and nutrition educator with more than 20 years experience in diabetes care. She is currently owner and Director of Professional Training for Diabetes Management & Training Centers, Inc., in Phoenix, Arizona. She has served as President of the American Association of Diabetes Educators; on the Center for Disease Control's Technical Advisory Committee on Diabetes; and as a member of a variety of advisory and editorial boards in the diabetes field, both in the U.S. and internationally Richard R. Rubin, PhD, CDE, is a certified diabetes educator and a licensed professional counselor. He is associate professor of Medicine and Pediatrics at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He speaks frequently to diabetes health care professionals and to people with diabetes around the world, and has published books and papers on coping with diabetes. He is a member of the board of directors of the American Diabetes Association.
