Jerry I. Porras received his B.S. degree from Texas Western College, his M.B.A. from Cornell University, and his Ph.D. in management from UCLA. He served in the U.S. Army for three years and was employed by the Lockheed Missiles and Space Company and the General Electric Company. Dr. Porras, currently an associate professor of organizational behavior in the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University, has published widely in both academic and management journals, focusing his work on planned organizational change and organizational development processes.
