Straying toward Home: Poems

Jim Mersmann grew up on a small Kansas farm. He is a Marine Corps veteran, has taught on a Fulbright Fellowship at the Federal University at Rio de Janeiro, and spent more than twenty-five years teaching writing and poetry at University of Alabama-Birmingham.. Though recently retired Emeritus, he has won awards five times for excellence in classroom teaching.
