Richard H. Dekmejian is professor of political science at University of Southern California’s College and of International Business at the Marshall School. He received his Ph.D. from Columbia University. He specializes in comparative political violence, Middle East/Islamic studies, political elites, multinational business and politics, and the political economy of oil. He is a U.S. Army veteran and has served as a consultant to various agencies, including the Department of State, the U.S. Information Agency, and the Department of Defense.
