Helene Lefebvre-Brion: In 1953 she entered the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) and obtained her Doctorates-Sciences in 1958. Over a seventeen-year period, she taught a course for graduate students. For ten years (1969-1979) she organized meetings of the "Groupe d'Etudes de Spectroscopie Electronique Moleculaire" (GESEM), that brought together all of the French spectroscopists. She has published 136 papers in refereed journals and even now, while retired, she continues her research work Robert W. Field: After completing his Ph.D. at Harvard University and postdoc in the Quantum Institute of the University of California at Santa Barbara, he moved to MIT in 1974 where he is now the Haslam and Dewey Professor of Chemistry. He is a Fellow of the American Physical Society, the Optical Society of America, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and the American Association for the Advancement of Science. He has published more than 300 papers in refereed journals, and has been awarded the Broida Prize (APS), Plyler Prize (APS), Meggers Award (OSA), Lippincott Award (OSA), and Nobel Laureate Signature Award (ACS)Lefebvre-Brion, Helene is the author of 'Spectra and Dynamics of Diatomic Molecules', published 2004 under ISBN 9780124414563 and ISBN 0124414567.
