Sonata II

This Urtext edition of Haydn's keyboard sonatas has been prepared directly from the earliest contemporary sources, namely the autograph and/or first edition as well as manuscript copies. The sources used for particular works or sets of pieces are given in the notes. Volume two presents in chronological order three successive sets of six sonatas: the "Esterhazy" sonatas, composed in 1773 and published in 1774; the "Anno 1776" sonatas; and the "Auenbrugger" sonatas, published in 1780.
