Dr. Howard Addison has served for twenty-five years as rabbi and spiritual leader of congregations in the eastern United States. Since 1995, he has received regular spiritual direction from members of the Roman Catholic order of the Sisters of the Cenacle. Rabbi Addison served as the last student assistant to Abraham Joshua Heschel and was ordained at the Jewish Theological Seminary of America. He has also studied at Fordham University, the Chicago Theological Seminary and the Shalem Institute. One of the founding instructors of Lev Shomea, the first program to train spiritual directors in the Jewish tradition, Rabbi Addison is also the author of The Enneagram and Kabbalah: Reading Your Soul and Cast in God's Image: Discover Your Personality Type Using the Enneagram and Kabbalah (both Jewish Lights).
