Robert Rodriguez loves family and stories, and often puts them together. Growing up in a family of ten kids (!) he started making movies when he was 12 years old, and made an award winning short film called Bedhead starring his brothers and sisters. In college he drew a comic strip for his school newspaper based on his younger sister. Later, he made the Spy Kids movies, which had many characters based on his family. He's just finished making The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl in 3-D-based on the stories and dreams of his son Racer Max-which introduces audiences to the heroes of Planet Drool. Chris Roberson used to write just science fiction stories for grown-ups, and even won awards for them, but now that he got the chance to co-write the Shark Boy and Lava Girl Adventures, he thinks he'll be writing more stuff for kids. His first novel, Here, There and Everywhere, is about a girl who gets the ability to travel anywhere in time and space, and older kids who enjoyed this book might want to check it out. Chris and his wife Allison live with their little girl Georgia Rose in a big house filled with lots of books. Alex Toader draws things for a living, sometimes using pen and markers, sometimes brushes, and sometimes a computer and mouse. He's also been known to sculpt maquettes and props, from time to time. His conceptual designs for characters, vehicles, and environments have appeared in movies like the Spy Kids trilogy and The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl in 3-D, and a number of video games. Alex draws all the time, even when he doesn't have to, but on those rare occasions when he's not drawing he's busy playing with his kids.Rodriguez, Robert is the author of 'Shark Boy and Lava Girl Adventures The Day Dreamer', published 2005 under ISBN 9781933104041 and ISBN 193310404X.
