Saint Mungo

St. Mungo, known also as Kentigern (560-612 AID), was marked from birth as being under special divine protection and favor. His pregnant mother was cast adrift by her angry father and landed on a shore, where St. Servanus took her and the newborn child under his care. Servanus brought up the child Mungo, who even as a boy worked wonders, and prepared him for the clerical life.
