Renowned scientist and conservationist Dr. Jane Goodall grew up in southern England, where she dreamed of traveling to Africa to study its fascinating animals. In 1960 at the age of twenty-six, she realized that dream by traveling to Tanzania to observe the chimpanzees of Gombe National Park.
