Diana French grew up on Quadra Island, BC. In 1951 she moved to Chezacut, in the Chilcotin country, where she taught at a one-room schoolhouse. She later met and married Rob French, the son of Chilcotin pioneers. They lived in different areas of the Cariboo before settling in Williams Lake, where Diana worked first as a reporter and later as editor of the Williams Lake Tribune. She is active in community affairs, in particular with the Museum of the Cariboo Chilcotin Rick Blacklaws was born in Calgary, Alberta, and came to BC thirty years ago to complete his graduate studies in archaeology. Since then he has travelled BC, photographing the province in all its regions and seasonsBlacklaws, Rick is the author of 'Ranchland' with ISBN 9781550172324 and ISBN 1550172328.
