Mr. Kothari has over twenty-five years of experience in IT with emphasis on Project Management, Process & Quality improvement, Methodology implementation, and Consulting delivery across several industries. He has worked for major organizations including Hewlett-Packard, Digital Equipment (Compaq), Honeywell, Nortel Networks, Bank of Nova Scotia, Sperry Univac and the Norwegian Computing Center. He is the President of D2i Consulting, a firm specializing in Project Management delivery and consulting including Methodology, Process, PMOs, Projects Audits and skills development & training.He has performed in various roles as Engagement Manager, Program Manager and Resource Manager with P&L responsibility. His major areas of responsibility included project management, management of change, methodology development, quality implementations, project management training, and delivery of projects in private and public sectors. His expertise includes managing groups of IT professionals, mentoring Project Managers, leading and facilitating workshops, directing teamwork and conducting Project Management training. He has trained over 7,500 students in Project Management. Mr. Kothari specializes in innovative approaches to Project Management and the application of quality principles to manage projects successfully. His effective communications, team approach, and business-oriented style provide the foundation to manage projects for a successful outcome. He is able to consistently provide clients with professional expertise in planning and managing change while ensuring the successful completion of business goals and objectives. He has successfully applied the principles of Project Management to complex IT and non-IT projects. As a Program Manager, he successfully managed the divestiture of HP Canada (into HP & Agilent Technologies) in conjunction with the HP Corporate team. In this capacity, he exercised his project management skills, sensitivity and flexibility to coordinate resolution of complex issues at the executive level, and to direct the efforts of functional managers towards achieving the de-merger goals. Mr. Kothari holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Production Engineering, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow.
