Andrew Kumiega, Ph.D. has a spent over 20 years automating processes including Automotive Machining, Chemical manufacturing, confectionary, pharmacuitcal manufacturing, and financial trading systems in industry as a Senior Industrial Engineer. Andrew Kumiega is the former Director of Research at TD Waterhouse Securities Options, one of the largest option market making firms in the United States. In addition, he has held various senior level positions at several financial institutions, including Head of Financial Engineering at TFM Investments, LLC and also Market Liquidity Networks, both major options market makers, and Vice President of Quantitative Research at Calamos Asset Management. Currently, Dr. Kumiega is developing the financial engineering and risk management operations for Spectrum Global Fund Administration, the fastest growing hedge fund administration company in the U.S. He is an adjunct professor at the Illinois Institute of Technologys Stuart Graduate School of Business and is a member of the Market Technology Committee of the Certified Trading System Developer ( CTSD ) program. Benjamin Van Vliet is a Lecturer in and the Associate Director of the M.Sc. in Financial Markets at the Illinois Institute of Technologys Stuart Graduate School of Business. Within this program, he teaches graduate courses in quantitative finance and automated trading system development using Visual Basic.NET, SQL, XML, ISO C++ and Visual C++.NET and UML. He is also a co-inventor of TraderDNA, a real-time trading performance evaluation software package, as well as being a Director at TraderDNA LLC. Also, he is Vice Chairman of the Institute for Market Technology, a not-for-profit organization that provides educational programs in financial markets and technology, where he also chairs the Market Technology Committee for the Certified Trading System Developer (CTSD) program. Mr. Van Vliet also consults extensively in the financial industry.
