Charles Forsdick is James Barrow Professor of French at the University of Liverpool. His publications include Victor Segalen and the Aesthetics of Diversity (Oxford University Press, 2000) and Travel in Twentieth-Century French and Francophone Cultures (Oxford University Press, 2005). He is co-editor (with David Murphy) of Francophone Postcolonial Studies: A Critical Introduction (Arnold, 2003). David Murphy is Professor of French and Postcolonial Studies at the University of Stirling. He has published widely on African literature and cinema, as well as on the relationship between Francophone studies and postcolonial theory.
