Tom King holds a Ph.D. in anthropology from the University of California, Riverside, and has worked as a university archeologist and private contractor in California, as an archaeologist with the U.S. National Park Service, as consultant in archaeology and historic preservation to the High Commissioner of the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands, and as an executive with the U.S. Advisory Council on Historic Preservation.
