Elizabeth W. Garber was born in 1953 and grew up in a village in Ohio. She has lived on a square-rigged sailing ship, and on a dairy farm in France. She studied mythology and Greek epic at Johns Hopkins and Harvard, worked as a renovation carpenter in California, and received her Masters in Traditional Five Element Acupuncture and has been practicing this for 20 years in Belfast, Maine.
