J.C. Allen & Son's extensive collection of photos spans three generations, from approximately 1900 to the present. Photos from this collection have appeared in This Old Farm, A Farm Country Christmas, 100 Years of Vintage Farm Tractors, and The Complete Pig. John Allen was born 4/30/1937, and raised in Tippecanoe Country, near Lafayette, Indiana. Attended Purdue Univ., then enlisted in the US Navy for 4 years, returned to Purdue, graduated with BS. Attended Purdue graduate school for 2 yrs. Married while in the military, 4 grown children & 3 grandchildren. Family farm incorporated to keep grandfather's name in the business, in his honor. Likes camping, boating, unusual cars, horses. Has been in AQHA & National Cutting Horse Assoc., competed in cow cutting (sport of taking one from the herd) and many ribbons & belt buckles, also won the Jim Reno trophy.
