Advocate and activist, Janet Lord Leszl served on the Citizen's Advisory Council of the Delaware Autism Program for ten years and co-authored the Parent Handbook for the Delaware Autism Program. She performed Kids on the Block puppet shows on autism to elementary age students and was a founding member of the Delaware chapter of the Autism Society of America. Currently, she is a member of the Board of Directors of the Arc of Northern Chesapeake Region serving on several subcommittees.
