Papers from the Second International Workshop on Japanese Syntax

This volume contains papers presented at the Second International Workshop on Japanese Syntax, held in 1986 at Stanford University. In these papers, the topic of syntax is broadly construed as covering discourse phenomena and the interface between morphology and syntax. Particular emphasis was on discourse phenomena, to which are devoted approximately one third of the papers presented in the present work.
