Our Pennsylvania

Jerry Irwin (birth date June 29, 1936, US citizen) is a former railroad engineer with the Pennsylvania RR, and paratrooper with the 11th Airborn Division. Jerry spent 35 years as an active sky diver, making more than 2000 parachute jumps. His images have appeared in Life, Sports Illustrated, National Geographic, and numerous foreign magazines, calendars, books, etc. He was a four time winner of the Nikon International Photo contest, and won gold medals in 1982-83. He went into photography full-time in 1974 and has illustrated seven books, from Amish life, to motorcycle life style. He currently is involved in several book projects, and rides his Harley whenever he can. He is one of the photographers for Lancaster County (VP, 1998) and has contributed stock photography to such VP books as This Old Harley and This Old Barn..Irwin, Jerry is the author of 'Our Pennsylvania' with ISBN 9780896585546 and ISBN 0896585549.
