Jone L. Pearce is Professor of Organization and Management in the Paul Merage School of Business, University of California, Irvine. She has published over 80 scholarly articles in her field of organizational behavior, has edited several volumes, and has two previous books: Volunteers: The Organizational Behavior of Unpaid Workers (Routledge, 1993) and Organization and Management in the Embrace of Government (Erlbaum, 2001).
