James M. Day practiced oil & gas mining law for more than 35 years in Washington, D.C., often representing the "scoundrels" against the federal government and in international matters. He served in the U.S. Department of the Interior during the Arab oil embargo, for which he received the Interior Department's Outstanding Service award.
