Ida Thompson is Associate Research Professor at the Center for Coastal and Environmental Studies of Rutgers University. Dr. Thompson received her A.B., M.S., and Ph.D. from the University of Chicago, where she was a Danforth Scholar. She worked at the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago and, as a member of the faculty of Princeton University, taught courses in paleoecology, historical geology, invertebrate zoology, paleontology, and oceanography.
