Stephen W.Kress, Ph.D., is active in ornithology, wildlife conservation, and environmental education. He serves the National Audubon Society in a variety of positions, including vice-president for bird conservation, manager of the Society's Maine Coast Sanctuaries, and director of its Seabird Restoration Program. In addition, Kress teaches field ornithology classes at the Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology and the Audubon Camp in Maine.
