  • Comments: First Edition. The unmistakable influence of the Mustang on the racing world is seen here in endurance and drag, Trans Am, and GT racing. This major volume draws on the history of factory and privately sponsored efforts to lavishly chronicle the history of factory-produced models that have been put to the test as racing machines. Vivid historical and contemporary images reveal Mustang's 35+ years of competitive racing history.

Craft, John Albert

SUMMARY

John Craft is a college professor and lawyer who has been tinkering with Fords and Mercurys most of his life. Boss 302s, Torino Talladegas, Cobra Jet Mustangs, Cyclone Spoiler IIs, block-long LTD convertibles and a number of '60s vintage FOMOCO NASCAR competition cars (including Fred Lorenzen's 1965 Daytona-winning Holman Moody Galaxie) have all spent time in the author's garage. His fascination with racers and race cars of the Blue Oval persuasion has resulted in the publication of eight racing related books and hundreds of technical, historical, and feature articles in most of the major newsstand automotive periodicals over the years. The author lives in Florida with his long-suffering wife Jean, two dogs, and an odd assortment of old race cars and motorcyclesCraft, John Albert is the author of 'Mustang Race Cars' with ISBN 9780760311080 and ISBN 0760311080.
