Music in Ibero-America to 1850 A Historical Study

Daniel Mendoza de Arce (J.D. and Ph.D., University of Uruguay) has taught at several universities in the United States and abroad. From 1976 to 1995 he was professor of Hispanic studies and sociology at Governors State University in Illinois. He has done research on colonial Uruguayan and Puerto Rican art, music, and society and has published widely on topics ranging from music aesthetics to the epistemology of the social sciences.
