Million Visions of Peace Wisdom from the Friends of Old Turtle

The Old Turtle Peace Tour, inspired by the wish to share Old Turtle's message of peace with the world, began in 1994 and ran through 1995. It took two peace educators, Jennifer Garrison and Andrew Tubesing, across 48 states in eight months. They visited bookstores, schools, and churches in over 150 communities presenting peacemaking programs to children and adults. The response was tremendous. Over 500,000 visions of peace poured into the publisher's office in the form of poems, paintings, songs, stories, videotapes, and even quilts from bookstores and classrooms. By the end of the tour, Jennifer and Andrew knew they wanted to share the messages they had gathered.
