A biography of Millie-Christine McKoy, African-American Siamese twins born into slavery in 1851 in Columbus County, North Carolina. By the time she was four years old, Millie Christine had been widely exhibited, sold on several occasions, & kidnapped. When she was eventually tracked down in Europe, she was returned to her former owners & to her family. Afterwards, she led the life of the side-show world, traveling throughout the United States & abroad. Over the years, while the world gaped at her deformity, Millie-Christine grew into a multitalented, well-educated, deeply religious woman of great character.
