The author is the son of Polish parents who fled the oppression of Czarist Russia in 1913, to seek a better life in Canada. Settling in Montreal and while raising seven children, they contributed greatly to the Polish/Canadian Community through their talents, time and selfless acts of sharing and helping others. Influenced by his parents' example, young Paul soon developed a social conscience that remains active, aware and reaching to this day. This book takes us through the very personal, rich experiences of growing up in the diverse, ethnic environment of east Montreal. The honor of being appointed a County Court Judge in 1968 was tempered by the loss of his wife. Now, a widower with four young daughters and,a responsible new position, he settles in Windsor to begin a new life at the age of forty two. The years that follow tell of the many adventures encountered as a judge finding love again, bringing up four lively daughters and a stepson, and his ongoing involvement in the Polish Church and Community.Paul I.
