Refused entry into a Community of Sisters, she determined to begin her own convent. She founded the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary during the French Revolution, when all the convents were being closed. She had a great love for the poor and was willing to give her own clothes to them. Over 500 orphans were given the love of a mother and a safe home with her.
