Margot Theis Raven has been a professional writer working in the fields of radio, television, magazines, newspapers, and children's books for thirty years. She has won five national awards, including an IRA Teacher's Choice award. Margot earned her degree in English from Rosemont College and attended Villanova University for theater study, and Kent State University for German language. Margot has: four children; Scott, Bryan, Michael, and Ashley; a wonderful husband, Greg; and three dogs. She splits her time living in Concord, MA, Charleston, SC, and West Chesterfield, NH. M is for Mayflower is her second children's book with Sleeping Bear Press. She also authored Mercedes and the Chocolate Pilot, illustrated by Gijsbert van Frankenhuyzen. Jeannie Brett grew up in the coastal town of Hingham, Massachusetts, where she developed a passion for animals and the outdoors that continues today. Jeannie studied at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Jeannie lives in York, Maine, with her husband, Greg, and their three children, Gregory, Sophie, and Lee.
