Debora Bell serves God as an officer (full-time minister) in The Salvation Army. "I thank God for His gift of imagination," says Debi. "Because of it I have been dreaming up stories since I was a young child. Some of the stories live on paper and others live in my mind." The character, Lyssa Lamb, was born in 1991 while Debi and her husband Don were stationed in San Diego, California. As Debi wrote the story of Lyssa's journey, her friend, artist Ronda Gilger, gave visual expression to Lyssa. "Many of my friends and family members have been patient as they heard Lyssa's story and helped me refine the words.
