Jeff Jay began his career as an alcohol and drug counselor in 1986. Since then, he has worked as a supervisor, trainer, and program designer. He has also been seen on CNN and PBS and has had his work featured in Parade magazine, USA Today, and the Washington Post. Jeff is now a professional interventionist, working with families and businesses on a national basis. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and a certified addictions professional. He lives with his wife Debra in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan. His personal recovery from alcohol and drug addiction dates from October 4, 1981. Debra Jay is the coauthor of two Hazelden Guidebooks-Love First: A New Approach to Intervention for Alcoholism and Drug Addiction and Aging and Addiction: Helping Older Adults Overcome Alcohol or Medication Dependence. She is in private practice as an interventionist specializing in chemically dependent older adults. She provides intervention training and consultation to families throughout the United States and Canada.
