C. B. Squire has had a long career in journalism, chiefly in writing and editing petroleum publications and training editors in that field. He has taught journalism at the American University of Beirut and worked as a stringer on retainer for The New York Times and other publications. He has written and edited two books on the oil industry, written a young people's book on conservation, and edited a book on a group of ambulance drivers in World War II.
